Everyone loves a winner…

Yesterday my mum and I went to see ‘Everyone loves a winner’ at the Royal Exchange, Manchester.  It was great to get out and it ended up being a really nice evening.

The cast includes Ian Puleston Davies, Sally Lindsay and Joan Kempson. The play is set in a bingo hall of which you are a part of.  The audience is very involved and you get to play bingo yourself, which is really good fun.  The whole thing was really enjoyable and entertaining with some great one-liners.

My only problem with it, was that I kept waiting for ‘the point’  I kept clinging on to monolouges thinking ‘Ok this will explain it all’ but it didn’t happen.  Apart from the comparison between life and a game of bingo, I didn’t totally connect with it.  That said, for an entertaining, really enjoyable 2 1/2 hours, I would definitely recommend it!

After the play my mum and I were introduced to Ian Puleston Davies through a mutual friend, I had just watched him in the street on Mon night so that was really cool.  He was lovely and said I was much prettier than my brother (not difficult).  My mum was a bit star struck and stood stroking his hand, and gazing into his eyes for quite a few more minutes than was necessary, which was slightly awkward, but he didn’t seem to mind.

Went to see Ice age 3 in 3D with the kids this afternoon.  Really enjoyed it.  Apart from buying 2 small popcorn and 2 slushies which came to £12.50 TWELVE POUND FIFTY!!!!  Seriously, insane!

Poor Iden was like one of those under-privileged kids who had never been to the movies, in awe of everything. Especially with the 3D, he spent the whole film with his mouth wide-open and his arm reached out in front of him trying to grab stuff!  Good times.
